Cape Town International Airport has won numerous awards during the past decade, including the World Travel Award for Africa's Leading Airport, seven years in a row.

Getting to Cape Town is easy. International travelers can fly directly to Cape Town International Airport from cities such as London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Munich, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Istanbul, Luanda and Windhoek. From anywhere else, you may catch a two-hour connecting flight to Cape Town from Johannesburg. Flights from the United States will take about 20 hours, while direct flights from London take just 12 hours.

You may also fly to Cape Town from Johannesburg, Durban and other South African cities, with the following airlines: South African Airways, Mango Airlines, Kulula, Safair, Comair. Depending where you wish to fly from, various charter flights are also available.

Transportation between the Cape Town International Airport and the city

From the airport to Cape Town:

  • By taxi
    Taxis are available from the airport to the city centre (journey time: 20 minutes); Touch Down Taxis is the officially authorised airport taxi company and travellers are advised to use these instead of unauthorised taxis.
  • By shuttle
    Tourvest is providing shuttle service for conference delegates. The cost of the shuttle from the airport to the hotels in Cape Town is R175 or €13.41 per person, per transfer. You may book your shuttle seat at the same time as you book your accommodation.

From Cape Town to the airport:

  • By car
    Take the N2 highway and follow signs for the airport.
  • By shuttle
    Tourvest is providing shuttle service for conference delegates. The cost of the shuttle from the hotels to the airport is R175 (South African Rand) or €13.41 per person, per transfer. You may book your shuttle seat at the same time as you book your accommodation.
  • By taxi
    Inquire at your hotel about booking.

Transportation within Cape Town (hotels to CTICC and back)

Tourvest offers a shuttle service for delegates staying in hotels that are not within walking distance of the Cape Town International Convention Centre. The cost of this service is built into the accommodation price for these facilities.
